to Video CD or around 40 minutes in SVCD format. Shorter clips can also
be accommodated on Business Card size CDs or 8cm CDs (Mini CDs). This

How
much video can you fits on each VCD and SVCDs?
On normal size CDs you can hold around 70 minutes. Mini CDs
(8cm) can hold around 20 minutes, Business card CDs can hold
from 3 to 5 minutes depending on size used. You can have up
to 40 mins of video on a SVCD.
What quality should I expect from my VCD /
SVCD?
The quality of VCD is slightly lower than VHS. For better quality
you can go for Super VCD (SVCD) which provides a sharper picture.
A normal size CD can hold only around 40 minutes of footage
in SVCD format. However beware that playback of SVCD may be
subject to more compatibility issues than VCD.
Where Can I play VCDs?
You can play these on your PC's CD or DVD drive (using for example
Windows Media player or other playback software). You can also
play VCDs on your DVD player (subject to DVD player being compatible
with VCDs). MiniVCDs fit on most standard CD-ROM, DVD-ROM or
DVD player trays.
Where
Can I play SVCDs?
You can play these on your PC's CD or DVD drive (using for example
Windows Media player or other playback software). You can also
play SVCDs on your DVD player (subject to DVD player being compatible
with SVCDs).
What if I want to send the VCD to USA or
Canada?
The TV system in USA/Canada is NTSC. We can produce NTSC VCDs
for an extra £7.00. Alternatively request for the MPEG1
files of your footage on CD.
